Danko theme is stricly for charity purpose website?(as I’d feel bad to download it and use it for my blog)
Or, do you plan to release another theme with that kind of design as I love it too much?

Please follow the steps below to solve this issue.

    – Download the zip file from your Downloads page.
    – Unzip the downloaded zip file; you should now have a final download folder.
    – Do NOT upload the final download folder. Open up the final download folder.
    – Browse the contents and find folder called WP. If you look inside of this folder you will find the actual theme folder.
    – Upload ONLY the theme folder to your “wp-content/themes” folder.
    – Login to your WordPress admin panel and activate the theme.

If you do not wish to upload the theme folder via FTP, there is an option. You can upload the zipped theme folder via the WordPress themes admin panel by selecting “add new” and clicking “upload”.

I set up the theme on my website. After setting up theme I used Paypal Sandbox to check the payment settings and it worked smooth. Now when I am moving to real Paypal the download counter in home page shows the amount that I used for testing during sandbox. Any method to reset it to 0?

I noticed that at most it adds up to $99,999. Is there a way to allow it to go into the 100 thousands?
Also is there a way to alter the background or to set an image as the background?

    Hi again,

I really like this theme and posted an error message that I got from it here last night. My post was deleted and I’ve gotten no reply back either – is this how you treat your customers? I understand it’s a free theme but it’s your theme, you’re not going to stand by it?

    Hey guys,

I am using this theme at dromero.samuelfaith.com and please check out the blog. I am receiving PHP error.

Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /nfs/c04/h01/mnt/59499/domains/dromero.samuelfaith.com/html/wp-content/themes/danko/_blog.php on line 47

I can’t seem to be able to solve it. Can you advise me on this?

Hi! Love the theme! I have a couple questions? How do you remove the two lines that break up the main photo on the homepage? Instead of breaking the main slider photo into three sections I’d like just one solid photo. Second question, is there a way to manually enter donations if a donation was made but not through the site? So the helped raised number would reflect that?

    Thank you,

Just had a few questions about Danko…hoping someone will be able to help!

My images are showing up on the home page slider but they don’t transition (slide) when you hover over the 2nd or 3rd title. Any ideas? Also I have the word "update" at the top left…any idea why?

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:wampwwwwordpresswp-contentthemesdanko_ouractions.php

Thank you very much for creating this theme and making it available for free. I have been messing around with several themes for a charity I am involved with and this one really seems to fit the bill. I really appreciate it man!

Love the theme although is there anyway to manually increase the counter yourself without having to go through paypal?

Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /home/public_html/****.com/wp-content/themes/danko/admin/widgets/widget-recent-actions.php on line 28

Trying to understand how to get rid of this error when activating the actions widget. I’m running the latest wp install with no plugins activated.

    Any support would be appreciated.

Hi, great theme. I’m having issues with it because for no apparent reason all the paragraphs are merged and displayed as a single one. I’ve gone through the CSS and the issue seems to run deeper in the functions or maybe the shortcodes configuration. Any idea how to solve this?

  15. Knight Pedja

    Hi Mike,

Danko is our older theme that still uses custom shortcodes to format your text.

To access shortcodes you need to switch to HTML editor when editing/creating pages or posts

  16. mansnaz

Hi. I just installed the Danko theme and received the following error:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /…/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 2762

    Totally dig this theme!

  17. mansnaz

A secondary question: Is it possible to control where the donate module shows up on the site? Let’s say I didn’t want it on the front page of the site, but wanted it on a page deeper on the site–is this possible to change?

  18. NRIII

I’d like to edit the donate button to point to a different website, not paypal – how do i edit the donate.php page to have it point elsewhere?

  19. Knight Pedja

Can you tell me on which page is this error showing?
You can remove donate part from front page by opening front-page.php end delete div with "home-money-button left" class and everything inside it.

You will need to edit front-page.php and header.php, in both files search for this part of code:
    <div class="home-button left">
    <a href="<?php echo $paypal_redirect; ?>">
    <div class="home-button-left left"></div>
    <div class="home-button-center left">Donate</div>
    <div class="home-button-right left"></div>
Now replace <?php echo $paypal_redirect; ?> with the custom link you wish to use.

First of all thank you so much for the nice free theme.

There is an error when I was going to setup DMS Guest Book.
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at ……………………….

When I changed the theme it works fine.

Anybody can help me pls..? I’m using the latest version of WP(wordpress-3.4.2) and DMS Guest Book(dmsguestbook.1.17.2).

    Thanks a lot!

  21. Knight Pedja

We don’t offer support for third party plugins because it is just impossible to test them all with our themes.

Do you have any other plugins installed that may be interfering with DMS Guest Book?
Try disabling them all to see if DMS Guest Book will work then.

Love the Danko theme… thank you! A couple of issues though. I am trying to remove the favicon, the danko logo and the ‘latest actions’ images. On each of these (one at a time) I click the remove button and save changes, but they reappear as soon as I do. I tried to upload a placeholder until I finish my logo design, but it won’t allow me to upload to the above as well. Help me please!

Thanks for a really nice theme. I’m using it to build a charity blog right now…and for the most part the I’ve managed to change it the way I wanted to. Well except for two problems…which I’m not 100% sure how to resolve.

The two problems I’m having are related to Our Actions widget. I have it setup to show 2 latest actions in each page. Here is what it’s not doing…even the demo you have seems to have the same problem.

    1) It’s not showing the number or comments…it’s always 0
    2) for some reason the Read More text with arrow disappears if post is longer then x amount of words. Was thinking maybe because I increased the font size to 14 from 12? could this be he problem?

I looked at the php files and not sure what is wrong…

Please help me with these problem so I can finish the site.

First, congrats for your wonderfull theme.

I have a problem: I’m with wordpress 3.4.2, loaded theme few hours ago and I finished the website for a NPO. But, impossible to display a pic on Slide or Thumb (on article). The only time the image show itself is when I click on, in lightbox.
The website is from a piece of WordPress Network. I tried in an other WordPress network, and the same errors occured. I tried to change php thumb file, but no new stuff.
    Have you an idea?

    All best

Hey ThemesKingdom.com Creator/Admin….I have the WP Template Danko, and I have been finding a few issues with it while designing. It’s a GREAT Template for our Charity, but Somewhat hard to understand within the WordPress platform. I tried to add an image and make it a "Featured Image" to display on the HOME page, and then open up to that images/title "Blog", but I only get the Left Half of the photo to display, even after updating, and reloading. What Gives? We need help to fix this issue ASAP!!…lol….I thought the image would display the complete image, and then when you rollover the net Blog Title, the image would change to the NEXT image in that order, but thats NOT happening. We can’t get the COMPLETE image to display properly because the two lines across the middle of the HOME page are blocking it or something eles is. Please Help Us. Thank You In Advance! Pastor Donald C. Garner Jr.

I came across your Danko theme by accident. Great theme! I’m in the process of trying it out. Can you tell me how the Window Shade effect in your demo Actions page is implemented? I really like how it works.

Hello, not sure if this is still monitored but thought that I would give it a try.

I’ve been trying to recreate your homepage on mine but am having a hard time getting the “Latest Actions” to show up on the homepage.

I had even downloaded the xml file and installed that. Been able to figure everything else out except that. Any help would be great.

  30. Kengo Kasai

I love your work and trying to implement it but every time I try to save any changes under the “Danko” settings page it signs me out of wordpress and none of the changes are saved…

    Many thanks in advance,

  31. Lai

I have an issue with the Danko content slider where no images display in the slider.

    Kindly assist.

    Thank you.
