When you are ready to install a theme, you must first upload the theme files and then activate the theme itself. To upload a theme to your WordPress installation, follow these basic steps:
FTP Upload
1. Using an FTP client to access your host web server, upload the theme files to the wp-content/themes directory provided by WordPress.
2. Follow the instructions below for selecting the uploaded theme.
Administration Panel Upload
1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
2. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
3. Select Install Themes
4. Use the sub-menu or the Search or Filter options to locate a Theme you would like to use.
5. Click on the Preview link to preview the Theme or the Install link to upload the Theme to your blog.
6. Unzip the downloaded files. Theme files are located in ThemeName_theme.zip -> WP -> ThemeName.zip
7. Use the Upload link in the top sub-menu to upload a zipped theme files.
To select a Theme for your site:
1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
2. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
3. From the Available Themes section, click on the Theme title (or Theme screenshot) for the Theme you wish to activate.
4. A preview of the Theme will be shown.
5. To activate the Theme click the Activate “Theme Name” link in the top right.
Your selection should immediately become active.

To change the default permalink structure, go to:
Your WordPress Administration Panel -> Settings -> Permalinks
and paste this code into the Custom Structure field

To create the first page, go to the your WordPress Administration Panel.
1. Create one WordPress Page from the “Add New Page” panel.
1.1 Title it as “Home” (or another name) as your “static” front page.
1.2 Publish the Page.
2. Go to Administration > Settings > Reading panel.
Set ‘Front page displays:’ to ‘a static page’ and choose the first page you created above for ‘Front page.’
3. Save changes.
Customization of the your navigation menu allows you to:
- Change the order of pages
- Nest pages to create sub-menus
- Display posts on multiple pages by creating category pages

Creating a Menu
Go to Appearance -> Menus in your WordPress Administration Panel. Type in a name for it (only you will see this) and click Create Menu.
Adding Pages to Your Menu
Adding pages to your menu is as simple as checking the proper boxes for the pages you want and then clicking Add to Menu.
Activating Your Menu
In the Theme Locations module, under Primary menu for your site select menu you want to use and click save
While writing a post, you will see an Dorable options box below the editing area.
Post title (SEO)
Enter the post/page title you want for search engine indexing.
Post description (SEO)
Enter the post/page description you want for search engine indexing.
Post keywords (SEO)
Enter the post/page keywords you want for search engine indexing.
While writing a page, you will see an Dorable options box below the editing area.
Page headline
Enter the page headline you want to show on the top of the post page.
Page headline link
Enter the page headline target link if you want.
